1970 The first Christian Action Council Award was given to James Rogers of Florence. Also statewide distribution of scriptures “Good News For Modern Man”.

1975 Council offices moved to Lutheran Seminary. Council initiates formation of Congress of Christians and Jews in South Carolina.

1978 Council sponsored first “Women In Church in Future” conference in cooperation with 20 denominations.

1985 McClain retired. Russell B. Norris, Jr. chosen Executive Minister. Peacemaking Conference held.

1989 The 11th National Workshop on Christian-Jewish Relations held in Charleston. Norris resigned to teach at Lutheran Seminary.

1989-90 The Council initiated South Carolina Interfaith Response Ministry in response to Hurricane Hugo. Edward Ninestein was chosen to be its Executive Director.
