Prayer June 7, 2009 Judicatory Head: The Reverend Timothy Downs, Conference Minister Number of congregations in SC in 2007: 3 Sovereign God, we offer prayers for the Southeast Conference of the United Church of Christ in the words of Jesus, “that they may all be one,” within their fellowship and with Christian sisters and brothers across the South. As they prepare to gather for their Annual Meeting this week, may they extend an extravagant welcome to all of God’s children, proclaim a word of justice both near and far, and accept the cost of discipleship, while celebrating the joy of serving you.
