Caring for Creation

Creator God, your love for Creation and its Creatures is manifest in the natural beauty with which you blessed our beloved state. From magnificent mountains whose tree tops trumpet your glory, to wandering rivers whose calm depths remind us of your steadfast love, to the rolling sea whose waves echo your power, your creation provides sanctuary. Strengthen our resolve to care for and take care of the land, the water, the air, and all who reside therein. This we pray in the name of the one who walked dusty roads, sailed on calm and rough seas, knew the bounty of the harvest, and taught lessons using mustard seeds and fig trees. Amen.
