Prayer August 23, 2009 Judicatory Head: The Reverend Dr. Alan Arnold, General Presbyter / Stated Clerk Number of congregations in SC in 2007: 70 Gracious God, you have cared for us since we were in our mother’s wombs and made for us a part in your divine plan. We confess concerns that run from personal health to survival of the planet and too often trust ourselves more than we trust you. Revive your Spirit within our ministry as a presbytery and make of us faithful disciples who seek your son’s way. Shine your light upon the path we should take that your reign on earth will come and your justice prevail. In Christ’s name we pray. Amen. -- The Reverend Dr. Alan Arnold |
