| 1970 | The first Christian Action Council Award was given to James Rogers of Florence. Also statewide distribution of scriptures "Good News For Modern Man". |
| 1975 | Council offices moved to Lutheran Seminary. Council initiates formation of Congress of Christians and Jews in South Carolina. |
| 1978 | Council sponsored first "Women In Church in Future" conference in
cooperation with 20 denominations.

| 1985 | McClain retired. Russell B. Norris, Jr. chosen Executive Minister. Peacemaking
Conference held.

| 1989 | The 11th National Workshop on Christian-Jewish Relations held in Charleston. Norris resigned to teach at Lutheran Seminary. |
| 1989-90 | The Council initiated South Carolina Interfaith Response Ministry in response to Hurricane Hugo. Edward Ninestein was chosen to be its Executive Director. |
